Babatude's cashmere and wool collection offers your child the ultimate in softness and warmth. These gorgeous items are lovingly handmade in Nepal. Every step of the production of our products ; from dying the yarn through to the knit or weave through to embroidery ... is individually made by hand (we know, we've seen it !). We work with a fabulous family-run business whose employees have been with them for over 10-15 years.

Cashmere is cool in the summer and warm in the winter, keeping baby cuddled and safe in any season. It is also long lasting, and when well cared for, becomes softer with age. Our exclusive jumpers, playsuits, babygrows, blankets, coats and hats are made from the most precious, finest luxurious yarns. We also use cashmere mixed with merino wool ; merino is often referred to as one of the softest wools available and is excellent at regulating body temperature, especially when worn against the skin. The wool provides some warmth, without overheating the wearer.

Our hand-knit designs are made in pure cotton and organic yarn and are made by knitters across South Africa using the traditional 2 needle method. There are no machines, no production lines and every item is totally unique.
